In winter, the road from Ginzling to the Tristenbachalm is transformed into a toboggan run. Over a distance of 3 kilometers, sledders can expect plenty of variety: fast, steeper straights alternate with sharp S-curves, and there are small jumps and tight 180° turns that give the track its special flair.
The track is regularly groomed depending on the weather, and dangerous sections are secured with safety nets. In the evening, the toboggan run is illuminated until the last guest has sledded down from the Tristenbachalm.
Toboggans are available for rent at the Tristenbachalm for €4.50. After the descent, the rental toboggans can be stacked in the marked area at the end of the toboggan run in Ginzling – so it is not necessary to bring your own toboggan or transport the rented toboggans back up.
However, it is essential to follow the instructions of the staff!
Winter notice: Please pay attention to avalanche warning signs in winter. If the road or toboggan run is closed due to avalanche risk, the barriers must not be bypassed under any circumstances!
