1857: First commercialization of the Tristenbachalm by the Imperial and Royal Treasury (K. u. K. Ärar) under the owner Johann Eberl zu Troppmaier in Finkenberg.
Before the turn of the century, the Tristenbachalm was sold to the farming family of the Schelcher estate in Eckartau.
1913: During the night following cheese-making work, the alpine hut and stable building burned down to their foundations.
1914: The alpine hut and stable building were rebuilt in their current form and put back into use.
1916: Maria Pfister, owner of the Schelcher farm in Eckartau, municipality of Mayrhofen, sold the entire Tristenbachalm for 6,000 crowns to Josef Klausner, farmer of the Draxlaste estate in Dornauberg, municipality of Finkenberg.
1935: The daughter, Hedwig Frankhauser, inherited the property from her father and handed it over to her son Wilhelm Klausner in 1963.
1963: Wilhelm Klausner and his wife Gretl began selling their own products, such as whole milk, buttermilk, buttered bread, and Graukäse (grey cheese). This marked the rise of the Tristenbachalm as a popular excursion destination for locals and visitors.
1966: Start of construction on the Floitenbach water intake as part of the Zemmkraftwerke/Tauernkraftwerke AG projects.
1968: First concession granted for the Tristenbachalm snack station to operate as a guesthouse and bar during the summer months from 08:00 AM to 08:00 PM.
1972: Expansion with the addition of a new kitchen building and extensive interior renovations.
July 16, 1973: Expansion of the concession:
- Removal of seasonal restrictions
- Extension of operating hours to 08:00 AM to 10:00 PM
1978: Redesign of the terrace.
June 1, 1992: Christian Klausner took over the Tristenbachalm in the 5th generation and continued to run the snack station following the old family tradition.
2015: Leased to Mrs. Jitka.
2018: Leased to the Putz family.
2021: The Klausner family returned, with Stephan Klausner continuing the operation of the Tristenbachalm.
